2012 Reflection

My favourite memory for 2012 was going to water world because we got to learn more about how to survive in the water and it was really fun and exciting.

My least favourite memory was wrap free wednesday it was so hard to find no wraps in my draw.

Next year I'm looking forward to athletics so I might get into interschools.

Celebrity word!

What I enjoyed about my play was having a vote at the end even though it wasn't in the play and my character was paleontology and he won the vote so I'm moving into the final  AWESOME! I can't wait.

Athletics day

Yesterday the middle and seniors did athletics. We did a lot of activities including high jump, long jump, 200m sprints 100m sprints. My favourite activity was high jump. I liked it

because it is fun and you don't get sand in your eyes. Also the weather yesterday was awesome and really, really sunny and really, really, really, really, hot about 29 degrees celcius or something like that and it was so hot it was like a desert in New

Zealand! My favourite part was defentley high jump.

NIE Paper

Room 8 has started a new NIE paper NIE stands for newspaper in education. The NIE paper is called from milk to ice cream. It's very fun and exciting I like it alot I'm working with Oisin and Rhys it is always fun working with friends!!!!!But you always have to work hard and get  things finished within the time limit.

Animal Court play

Today my reading group the pokekos did a play about animals in court. My characters were court register and Mr fox [prosecution lawyer] to Mr hare. My Friends characters,Taylor-rose was Mr Stoat Mr Brown, Sarah was Ms Tortoise and Ms Fleece, Natalie was Judge Hoot and Mr Hare. It was fun my favourite part was when my character Mr Fox yells "objection".

Making grass heads

last Friday Room 8 made grass heads it was awesome.we had to bring a sock or stocking to put the grass seed and soil in. The grass seed had to be at the top of the stocking we put them into a yogurt container and took it inside to decorate mine looks like this. Pretty cool aye. This Friday it will proberley have some grass and will be able to trim.

Making Butter

Last week room 8 made butter for our topic from milk to ice cream. It was fun and tasty, it was very simple all we needed was cream but the cream had to be left out of the fridge for a couple of hours. We put it in 2 jars then we each split up into 2 groups. Each group made circle and got a jar of  cream and each had five shakes then passed on to the next person. After a few shakes it turned into butter and we poured out the butter milk and spread the butter on bread and each of us had a slice of bread. YUM!

YAY! Term 4

In the middle syndicate we are learning a new topic this term its called from milk to ice cream. We are also going to farm were they milk cows, what I want to learn about dairy products is how they turn milk to other products and learn more about milking cows.

Also this term is athletics for the middle and senior syndicate, there are sports that are Long jump {my favourite}, High jump, Sprints, Relay and Throwing. Also this term we are going to warter world for swim safe lessons.

Awesome reading board games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week in room 8 we have been playing board games about emotions. There are 6 games we were split up into 6 groups. My group board game was called What makes a good friend? But heres a surprise I WON! It was awesome because I was the only boy in the group and I learnt that other peapole have difireint ways to make friends with them. The rules of the game were if you landed on a feeling you had to tell the other peapole about when someone gave or helped you with that emotion and thats how you play.

My feelings about the prouduction

As you may know the production is this Wednesday,Wednesday night and Thursday night. Here are my feelings about it. On the first performance I felt as nervous as a newbie rock star on his first performance and on the second performance I felt a little bit nervous, BUT! On Thursday I am more nervous than EVER! Because my mum was watching. I was thinking I hope she likes it over and over. When I had to go on  I got my confidence back and did the best performance in my LIFE! These are my feelings about the production.

Proudction

In week 9 is the production. Room8,14 and 4's group is garden,we have 3 groups insects,fruit and veggies and flowers. There will also be gardeners.I am in the insects,my insect is a spider with other people.Our team colour is red,I love it.I will see my mum and step dad.

Maths Week 2012

This week is maths week 2012. There is a website about it with games, daily challenges, points [cash] and auctions for special prizes such as DVDs! I have $62 but to buy a battleship toy I need $722. Sad for me whaa whaa!. My favourite game is Raining Money. 
Raining Money has 5 levels and you have to collect the money falling from the sky and automaticly transports you to the next level every level gives you a different amount of money and different speed. 

Wrap free Wednesday

Today is wrap free Wednesday. Yesterday I had 6 wrappers but today I had 2 wrappers its really cool I made a huge achievement. I so proud of myself next time no WRAPPERS! This time I brang fruit 2 pieces an apple and an orange. WOO HOO! We're having wrap free Wednesday because it's good for the environment, nature and to be more healthy!

2012 Olympic games

I know that the Olympic athletes compete for their country and you don't have to fly to London to watch the Olympics you can watch it on T.V 1.

This year is the 2012 Olympics I want to know how did they come up with the Olympic activities and Who came up with the activities? Barron pierre de coubertin came up with the Olympic games and they came up with the games by doing particular activities.

Term 3

This term I'm looking forward to cross country because I enjoy sprinting and getting outside in the sun. I also am exited about our dance groups show because I love getting on stage and performing. My term3 goals are to learn, when to comment and concentrate on my work.

Maths video

I am doing my doubles maths. I'm using my doubles to answer this maths problem. I think I described my maths problem but I could work on using more language on my doubles.

Toast

I liked how last week room 8 got to make toast on Friday. I wrote a procedure about making my own breakfast - toast.  I learnt how to write a procedure about toast I hope it happens again.

Speeches Reflection

This is me doing my speech about Star Wars. I didn't use eye contact so I think that's a thing I can work on next time. I did have a loud and clear voice that is what I liked about my speech.

Making Sound

In my reading group the Pukekos we made a ruler that makes sound. It vibrates in the air like a helicopter blade. I liked making this experiment, it was great.

Sound.

I like doing sound because I learnt more things about how sound gets into your ear.

Kindness Week

I felt awesome giving something to Mac because he is my best freind in the school.

It felt awesome receiving chocolate and a moterbike colectable from Joseph because I love moterbikes and chocolate!

Kindness week has made me feel happy and really good.

Maths word problem

 Mac has ten lollies and Sarah had five lollies and I had twenty lollies. How many altogether?

Taylor-Rose has no apples, Rhys has fifty apples and gives Twenty five to Taylor Rose.  How many does Rhys have now?

Osin had twenty games he got fifty more. How many does he have altogether?

my hoildays

what was the best part of my hoildays? my best part of my hoildays was.... i went to the v8s in hamilton. it was so cool i saw heaps of fast v8 supercars, and it was so good to see them up close and there loud v8 engines.

I went on the mechanical bull, which was really fun, but i got very saw blisted hands from it. i also went on the mammoth slide which was awsome, because it went so fast because of the blanket under me, my face was in much excitment.
